The electronic scientific journal “Science. Society. State” was created for research teams of the higher education institutions to transfer knowledge and practice, generate new information and acquaint readers with significant Russian and world achievements in the humanities and social sciences.

The editorial policy prioritises exploring the main trends and development directions of Russian law in comparison with the law in the states around the world, forming the legal policy of the state at the present stage, studying the historical and legal challenges in theory and practice of various branches of law, as well as conducting sociological research and examining the issues in philosophical sciences.

The focus of the journal is to promote fruitful international cooperation in the field of social sciences, to attract world-class scientists to collaboration within the journal, to involve young scientists in research on legal, sociological and historical sciences. This task is achieved through the possibility of publishing articles in English and favouring articles authored by scientists, including young scientists, from various states.

In modern conditions, when the number of scientific publications is growing almost exponentially, the image of the journal can only be ensured by maintaining a consistently high level of content. The multi-stage peer review system that exists in the journal allows selecting only the best articles that present significant findings and results with regard to good practices of foreign scientists in the focus areas and with reference to the Russian and world scientific community.

The journal is committed to the policy of ensuring maximum accessibility of published materials for scientists. All articles in the archival and current issues of the journal are posted in the open access mode on the journal website, as well as in the Russian and foreign electronic libraries and information databases on the Internet. The journal preserves the traditions and constantly develops, including through the experience of the leading publishing houses around the world. The editorial board makes every effort to properly present the findings and results of Russian and foreign scientists to the international scientific community.
